Job Training Fund Granted $160K+ in March

Nine NH companies received $160,301 from the Job Training Fund to train 694 workers in new skills. The companies contributed $202,720 in matching funds to bring the total amount to $363,021.

North Branch Construction in Concord received $5,991 to train 24 employees in safety, leadership, Excel II, teamwork, sales prospecting and customer relations at Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. in Concord and Manchester Community College.

Patriot Foundry & Casting in Franklin received $1,250 for an employee to receive business growth training from the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NHMEP) in Concord.

Brazecom Industries in Weare, which does brazing for commercial and military use, received $1,250 for two employees to participate in NHMEP’s business growth training program.

Kollsman-Elbit in Merrimack, a manufacturer of products for commercial aviation, defense, homeland security and medical instrumentation, received $50,000 to train 275 employees in Intro to Lean, Train the Trainer and Problem Solving at Nashua Community College.

Ceramco in Center Conway, a manufacturer of custom ceramic parts for various industries, The Rubber Group in Rochester and Martin International Enclosures in Seabrook, a manufacturer of server racks for data center and industrial environments, all received $4,500 each to train employees in ISO 9001:2015 through NHMEP.

Phase 2 Medical Manufacturing in Rochester received $18,410 for training 30 employees in a variety of training courses, including Supervision 1 & 2 and Problem Solving at Great Bay Community College in Rochester and Technical Writing and Meeting Productivity at NH Technical Institute in Concord.

New England Wire Technologies in Lisbon received $69,900 to train 353 employees in several courses at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, including effective communication/accountability, managing change/accountability for non-management and leadership for management.

The Job Training Fund has granted $8,814,706 since October 2007, with employers contributing $11,613,956 for a total of $20,428,662 in new training for 25,846 New Hampshire workers.
