It's DecemberYou Can Officially Put Your Tree Up

Published Wednesday Dec 1, 2010

Or, as the NH Division of Travel and Tourism suggests, cut your own.

The "Little Town of Bethlehem," is a cozy New Hampshire town where families come from near and far to cut their Christmas tree. It's somehow fitting that this town sports not one, but two Christmas tree farms (more than 55,000 Christmas trees.) Finnegan's Fine Firs and The Rocks Estate are popular spots for locals and visitors alike as families continue the tradition of cutting their own tree. In fact, this town has become so popular that the Bethlehem post office handled 56,000 Christmas cards last year alone, from people wishing to have Bethlehem's stamp and cancellation on their envelopes.

Weir Tree Farms in Colebrook has been a family-owned and operated Christmas tree farm since 1945, offering Fraser, Balsam, Fralsam and Korean Firs. The Fralsam Fir is a hybrid of Fraser and Balsam and was developed at Weir Tree Farm.
