Franklin Savings Bank (FSB) purchased $100,000 in tax credits from the Community Development Finance Authority to support PermaCityLife, a Franklin nonprofit working to revitalize the city's downtown. PermaCityLife will use the money to help fund facade improvements to buildings it acquired last year.
Ronald Magoon, president and CEO of FSB, says PermaCityLife “has been instrumental in the restoration of buildings which have attracted new businesses to the area, including a unique coffee shop, a made in New Hampshire retail store, a co-working center and a whitewater outfitter.”
FSB previously donated $30,000 to the nonprofit, which has also received support and partnerships from Colby-Sawyer College in New London and Franklin Business & Industrial Development Corporation.
