At SilverTech, a digital experience agency in Bedford providing web development and marketing services, the company’s 20% annual growth in recent years is the result of building long-term, face-to-face relationships with clients. That growth led to the firm recently relocating from a 13,000-square-foot building in Manchester to a 40,000-square-foot office space in Bedford to accommodate its 100 employees’ hybrid schedules, in-person trainings and a more personable
office culture.
“During COVID, many of our employees became conditioned to virtual meetings but today they’re valuing relationships in offices which allow them to learn hands on from mentors,” says, Nick Soggu, SilverTech’s president and CEO. “Human connection matters.”
During the pandemic, the company shifted its delivery and engagement with its customers and expanded its client base by focusing on relationships. Even in this digital world where people are holding more virtual meetings, Soggu says, clients deeply value interpersonal relationships. “You can’t beat human contact,” says Soggu, a mid-westerner who’s been doing web development since the 1990s. “Our customers know who they’re working with. They know we’re looking out for their best interests.”
Much of SilverTech’s growth, Soggu says, has been in healthcare, banking and finance, utilities, and government work. SilverTech also has an office in Indianapolis and its sister agency,
Panos Marketing, which has doubled its revenue in the last five years, is planning a move to SilverTech’s former location, the old Ash Street School Building on Bridge Street in Manchester.
Another key to SilverTech’s success is its “Lead to Loyal” approach that focuses on creating a seamless digital experience for a company’s customers, so they become more loyal over time. “It’s about taking new relationships with customers and converting them into loyal customers,” says Soggu. “That has been a complete evolution.”
Soggu says the only way to find and keep quality employees is to continue growing as a company. “People who come to the company are looking to take on additional responsibilities, and that doesn’t happen if you’re stagnant,” he says. “If we don’t grow, we will wither on the vine and lose our best people.” For more information, visit silvertech.com.
