'Tis the season to be jolly for U.S. professionals – that’s according to a new survey from staffing firm Accountemps. The research reveals 51percent of U.S. workers say they are happier on the job during the holidays, even though 35 percent admit to being more stressed this time of year.

Other highlights of the research include:

• Workers ranked balancing holiday events and work obligations as the most stressful part of the holiday season.

• 37 percent of workers say bigger year-end bonuses would be the best way to help alleviate stress.

• 32 percent would appreciate more flexible work schedules during the holidays.
