Dawn Wivell Appointed as NH High Tech Council Representative

Published Thursday Dec 4, 2014

The New Hampshire High Tech Council appointed Dawn Wivell to the International Trade Advisory Committee, which advises the New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED) on matters of international trade. Wivell has been a member of the High Tech Council's board of directors since 2012 and chairs the Product of the Year Committee.

“With technology and high tech commerce becoming increasingly integrated into all aspects of business and trade, the NH High Tech Council’s role within this committee is a crucial one,” Wivell said. “I look forward to sharing both our membership’s perspectives and my experience within New Hampshire, the region, and internationally.”

Wivell's experience in international relations includes her current position as CEO of Firebrand International, a Seacoast firm that offers international business development services by helping companies strategize and implement global marketing strategies. She works with a wide range of clients, including those in the green tech, aeronautics, agriculture, biomedical and economic development industries. Her areas of specialty include international business, export strategies, development and marketing, cross-cultural negotiations, and international relationship management. She is also currently the Consortium Manager of the New Hampshire Aerospace and Defense Export Consortium and her past roles include the director of the New Hampshire International Trade Resource Center, where she served for more than 20 years.

The Council’s representation on the International Trade Advisory Council is a product of state legislation  that calls for a council representative with "experience in the area of international trade, appointed by that organization.”
