Conservation Center Offers Green Building Tour

Published Friday Sep 12, 2008

The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests will join the 2008 National Green Building Open House to introduce visitors to its green certified conservation center. Staff and volunteers will give tours of the Forest Society's award winning, energy efficient office building on this national day of celebrating sustainable design in buildings.

NH business executives are invited to check out how the Forest Society harnesses the sun's energy passively and actively, and to see how different design techniques were used to conserve water and energy. Attendees will also learn how the SPNHF uses one of NH's most renewable resources to heat the campus during the winter.

Tours are free and will run throughout the day.
