Each year, Business NH Magazine features private companies that have the fastest average annual revenue growth over three years but do not have the revenue to make the list of the Top 100 Private Companies in NH.

To make the list, companies had to demonstrate high sales growth rates between 2016 and 2018 and generate more than $1 million in revenue annually.

While company meetings are held in an 1800’s schoolhouse, Straight Path IT Solutions has its eye on
the future.

The database management firm, which has 11 employees, has been quickly growing since 2016, achieving average annual growth of 94%.

It is the brainchild of Mike Walsh, who founded the company in 2011 after spending nearly 15 years helping companies maintain secure databases.

“We sell green check marks,” says Walsh, referring to the way his team makes sure that a client’s database priorities are always being addressed.

“There is no greater asset to a company than its data and they give us the keys to their kingdom,” Walsh says. “We come in and give them peace of mind.”

The firm serves about 65 database management services clients and is poised to experience more growth in 2020.

“All of our clients are month-to-month renewals and we have only lost two clients in the past few years,” Walsh says. “We treat people right and they know it.”

Straight Path IT Solutions focuses on the Microsoft platform and serving small to mid-sized companies.

Walsh is also generous when it comes to sharing knowledge. He says he loves to see a client have that lightbulb moment and is happy to take the time to explain things. He publishes a blog covering the latest SQL server topics.

Straight Path’s clients are located across the country and include municipalities.

The company could be growing even faster, but Walsh says he has chosen to go slowly to provide the best service to existing clients.

Having developed his niche, Walsh says he wants to continue to strengthen his team by investing in training and other team-building activities.
