Published Monday Oct 13, 2008

Comcast, a provider of entertainment, information and communications, recently announced that Steve Walsh has joined the company as vice president of business services for New Hampshire, northern Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont. Walsh will focus on the company's business class bundle, which uses a fiber optic network for voice, Internet and video services.

Walsh comes to Comcast from Cox Communications, where he spent seven years serving the small business market in Las Vegas, Nevada. Previously, he held regional and national leadership roles at VoiceStream Wireless Corporation, WinStar Communications, Metrocall Wireless and ACW.

We're excited to have someone of Steve's caliber leading our effort to meet the needs of our growing number of business customers, says Steve Hackley, senior vice president of Comcast's Northern New England region.

I'm very excited about the opportunity to help local businesses secure reliable high-speed Internet, voice and video services from a company that they already know and trust, Walsh says. With our business class suite of products and services tailored for small- and medium-sized businesses, we are delivering commercial customers with valuable features and the kind of support that other providers reserve for their enterprise clients.
