In recent years, there’s been increased concern by state leaders about whether NH can keep its best and brightest. With the help of the NH College and University Council in Concord, Business NH Magazine checked in with colleges and universities around the state to find out what their top students are planning. Here’s what one graduate reported back to us.
Alexander J. Nardone, College of Life Sciences and Agriculture, University of NH
Hometown: Stratham, NH
Degree Earned: BS in Biology, minor in Asian Studies
GPA: 3.95
Career Aspirations: Physician
Graduate School: I hope to attend medical school in a couple years in California.
Have you landed a job? Yes as an assistant language teacher in southern Japan through the JET Program.
Why move out of NH? By moving to Japan I hope to increase my fluency in Japanese, gain a fuller understanding of Japanese culture, and have a fun and unique experience before going back to school. The culture and language of Japan have been interests of mine for several years now and I am excited to be able to work in an environment different from my own.
