At Polyonics, employees are literally invested in the success of the company as they own 100% of the business, earning shares annually. And they find ways to show appreciation for one another. Polyonics provides a free weekly breakfast for employees hosted by different departments. It ranges from a bagel spread to the R&D department preparing a home-cooked breakfast onsite. It is held on Thursdays as that is the last day of the work week for some employees.
The production team works 10-hour days Monday through Thursday, affording them three-day weekends. Non-production employees are allowed flex-time, and some sales and marketing employees are able to work remotely.
Between May and September, the company hosts a monthly cookout, and Polyonics hosts an annual summer picnic for employees and their families that includes games at a lake. It also hosts an annual holiday event for employees and their significant others.
Anniversary gifts range from $100 at five years to $1,000 and a smart watch at 20 years. Polyonics also contributes $3,000 to employees’ Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA).
The company provides up to 10 weeks of fully-paid maternity leave and two weeks of paid paternal leave that also applies to those adopting a child.
