Bangor Savings Awards $40K in Grants

The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation recently awarded $40,461 in grants to 13 nonprofit organizations in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The Foundation awards grants to nonprofits whose initiatives make communities more prosperous, more livable, and more vibrant. Grant applications are reviewed quarterly for organizations located in market areas served by Bangor Savings.

The following NH nonprofits received Bangor Savings Bank Foundation grants:

New Hampshire

  • Colebrook Recreation Department, which supports the Cultural Arts and Crafts Programs that will expose, teach and offer creative outlets for kids, families, and adults to explore cultural traditions, foods, and art methods from around the world.
  • NH State Library Services, which helps train NH libraries on Autism, and provides play-based learning, circulating, and associated tools to be used in storylines in libraries.
  • Seacoast Mental Health Center in Portsmouth and Exeter, which supports adult clients receiving substance use disorder services by providing taxi vouchers to allow appointments to be attended regularly.
