An Exhibit of Small Works in Dover

The artworks currently on display at The Art Center in Dover show a range of techniques and subject matter that will be of interest to any connoisseur of fine and contemporary art. In keeping with the theme of the show, none of the artwork on display is over 12 by 12 inches and most of the work is priced to sell to the discerning collector.

The Art Center leans toward the contemporary in their exhibitions and this show is no exception. However, this one has a balance of black and white pieces mixed in with the bright and exuberant colors typical of the Center's displays. Of particular note are the scratchboard etchings of Russell Brandwein, the lithography prints of Georgeanna Whittaker Fellio, and the ink work of artist-in-residence at The Art Center, AJ Jessome.

Alicia Sampson Ethridge and Hannah Brown each have three quirky, colorful pieces that cost $75.00 or less. The works of Joe Flaherty are evocative mixed media pieces of oil over acrylic with graphite. Then there are seacoast-themed piece such as  ‘Lobster’ and ‘Oyster Shells,’ which are watercolors by Liliia (Yuliya) Shuel and a ocean wave diptych by Dale Tremblay.
