2024: #4 Private Company to Watch: Precision Talent Group

Three-Year Average Annual Growth: 58%
Founded: 2020
Headquarters: 7 Wall St., Windham
Founder and CEO: Cristina Muise
Total Number of Employees: 94
Product/Service: Staffing and recruitment for the life sciences, healthcare and tech industries

When Cristina Muise sold the last company she helped grow, a physician staffing firm, she briefly considered retirement. But she knew that she wasn’t done making an impact on the healthcare industry.

“I loved the ability to help, and really contribute in a pretty meaningful way to helping other companies grow and acquire talent,” Muise says. “I wanted to offer a holistic approach toward staffing in the areas Boston is most well-known for.”

She started Precision Talent Group in early 2020, building on her experience in healthcare staffing, and expanding to serve the life science and technology industries. Almost immediately, Muise had to deal with the impact of the pandemic. During that time, she continued to hire, knowing that the disruption of COVID would create opportunities for companies that were strategic and innovative.

And yet, there were challenges keeping up with the constant changes brought about by the COVID pandemic. After an infusion of funding for vaccine development, “the money for biotech dried up,” Muise says. “That made a lot of people rethink what their staffing plans would be.”

Precision Talent Group was on hand to help with that restructuring, by providing a boutique, individualized assessment of a client’s pain points, then offering solutions, she says. Precision Talent Group now has 94 people on staff: 23 full-time employees who keep the agency running, and an additional 71 contractors who serve as consultants for clients. Last year, the company exceeded $10 million in revenue, with an average three-year annual growth of 58%.

That’s just the beginning, Muise says. “Over the next three years we plan to double,” she says. After that, she predicts two- to three-times growth over the next five years, as Precision Talent Group serves larger companies with more lucrative contracts. The success of Precision Talent Group is no accident, Muise says: “There’s a fantastic, curated team behind it.”
