Toadstool Bookshops Named NH Retailer of the Year.

The Toadstool Bookshops, with locations in Keene, Peterborough, and Nashua, have been named the NH Retail Association's 2021 NH Retailer of the Year.

Owners Holly and Willard Williams, along with employees Jeff Osgood and Lowell Morris, accepted the award.

The NH Retailer of the Year Award is a recognition of a retailer in the state who has met the highest standards of excellence. They show creativity and initiative so their business thrives and provide excellent customer experiences. The NH Retailer of the Year is committed to their community and creates a positive work experience.

The Toadstool Bookshops started from scratch when the Willard family got together in 1972 and germinated an idea to start a bookstore. Their late father, Sydney Williams, had given all his children a love of reading and a great respect for books and what they had to offer. The Peterborough location was first, followed by Keene in 1982 and Milford in 1989. Last year the Milford location moved to Nashua.
