Northeast Credit Union in Portsmouth hired Ryan Grace as VP of brand to lead the marketing team while developing brand strategies to promote growth and expansion. Grace brings over 10 years of experience in building multinational brands in the consumer goods industry, including roles at Keurig Dr Pepper, Lindt, and Mars.

The Granite Group, a Concord-based supplier of plumbing, heating, cooling, piping, water systems, and energy products, opened its newest branch in Manchester, VT. Located in the Manchester Valley Industrial Park at 152 Manchester Valley Road, this branch will be run by long-time Granite Group team member and customer favorite Derek Potter. Potter began his Granite Group career at the Rutland, VT branch as an inside sales representative in 2001. In 2007, he was promoted to warehouse supervisor and was since promoted to operations manager and branch operations and system manager.

The NH Women’s Foundation will honor Congresswoman Annie Kuster with their 2023 AmplifiHER award at the 6th Annual GALA that will take place at the Grappone Center in Concord on April 29. The award is given annually to a person or persons who have dedicated their personal and professional lives to lifting up women and girls in the Granite State. Kuster was a founder of the Women's Fund of NH and as a U.S. representative, fought for women and girls across the state and country.

Susan Perry, senior VP/commercial loan officer for Union Bank of Vermont and NH, received the NH 504 Lender of the Year 2022 award from the Granite State Development Corporation for originating the most 504 loans in NH in 2022.

Franklin Pierce University in Rindge is bestowing an honorary degree to Steven V. Camerino, an attorney and CEO of McLane Middleton law firm in Manchester, who served on the Franklin Pierce University Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2022, holding the position of Board Chair from 2016 to 2019. The university is also bestowing an honorary degree to Dr. Tia Brown McNair, VP in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Student Success and executive director for the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Campus Centers at the American Association of Colleges and Universities in Washington, DC. In addition, writer, educator, and community activist JerriAnne Boggis, executive director of the Black Heritage Trail of NH in Portsmouth, will receive the Honorable Walter R. Peterson Citizen Leader Award, named for NH’s 72nd governor and the second president of Franklin Pierce University.

With Fairbank Lodge under construction, Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway unveiled the next stage of its base area development project. The Lookout is the newest addition to the Cranmore development portfolio that includes Kearsarge Brook Condominiums I and II, and Fairbank Lodge. The Lookout will include a first aid facility for ski patrol, and 17 two-to-four-bedroom residences (eight of which are two-story lofted units), ranging from about 1,170 to 2,490 square feet. Construction for The Lookout is expected to begin summer 2023, with the building expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

Hannaford Supermarkets named Mike Capsalis as Store Manager of the Year. Capsalis, who is manager of the Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road in Concord, NH, was selected as overall Store Manager of the Year from 185 Hannaford locations across New England and New York.
