In the spotlight: Lakes Region Art Association recognized the individuals as “Artists of the Month” for July: (Pictured back row) Sann LaVallee, Mike McQuade, Stephanie McQuade, Sally Hibberd, Michelle Palsy, (front row) Fay Lee, Barbara McClintock, and Pat Edsall.  The Association is a non-profit, with membership open to artists and patrons of the arts. The gallery, at the Tanger Outlets in Tilton features the artwork and photography of 30 local artists, and also offers art classes and community events.

Dartmouth Health donated $15,000 to Good Neighbor Health Clinics for renovations to the building that will house the Lebanon site, increasing access to Good Neighbor Health Clinics’ safety net medical services for uninsured or under-insured community members. The organiztion provides medical and dental care to more than 1,000 Upper Valley residents annually.

Cornerstone VNA in Rochester named Kathryn Howard as their Licensed Nursing Assistant of the Year. Howard, who joined Cornerstone VNA in February 2021, is known for her high standard of performance and high-quality care. Laars Heating Systems in Rochester also received an award for being a partner, supporter, and friend to Cornerstone VNA.

Sheehan Phinney attorney Ryan P. Lirette has graduated from the 2022 class of Leadership Seacoast. He joins 38 other individuals from seacoast businesses, government and the general community who graduated from the program. Lirette is an experienced civil litigator and a member of the firm’s business litigation group.

LaBelle Winery’s newest location on Route 111 in Derry has offered to partner with the NH Art Association to showcase its members’ works in more than 75 feet of gallery space. The first artists to exhibit their works from July 15 through Oct. 16 are painters Laura Cassinari King, John LeCours and Barbara Mata.

ReVision Energy been recognized as a Best for the World company by B Labs, in the Top 5% of all 5,000 B Corps worldwide. The award in the "Workers" category honors a commitment to workforce and sustainable business practices.

NBT Bank promoted of Tara Trafton to chief commercial credit officer. Trafton is responsible for overseeing commercial banking credit and policy for NBT Bank, working with commercial bankers across the bank’s seven-state footprint. Rebekah Stone has been named senior credit officer, and Regional Credit Officer Jeff Rochefort will take on an expanded role in the region.

The Works Café, as part of its Employee Tuition Assistance Program grants $2,000 each year ti be used as partial or full reimbursement for post-secondary tuition and fees. The 2022 tuition assistance winner, Julia Sommer, graduated this spring from the UNH) with a degree in Acting/Directing. Sommer started at The Works just under three years ago and within six-months she became a shift-supervisor.

A scholarship fund established by the residents of RiverWoods Exeter awarded $63,000 to 21 recipients. Seven to high school students who are current employees on their way to college. Memorial Scholarships were presented to two RiverWoods Exeter Licensed Nursing Assistants pursuing their Registered Nursing Degrees. The Archibald and Alma Mae Peabody Scholarship to assist with college education was presented to five children of RiverWoods Exeter employees. In a partnership with Great Bay Community College RiverWoods Exeter awarded $14,000 in scholarships to seven nursing students.

Northeast Credit Union in Portsmouth named 23 recipients of its 2022 Scholarship Awards, presenting a total of $40,000 to student members in NH and Maine who displayed exceptional leadership, compassion, and commitment to academics, extracurriculars, and their communities.
