In the spotlight: FedPoint in Portsmouth contributed $10,000 to the Professional Firefighters of NH in support of its Fallen Firefighters Fund. The donation was made to mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy and to honor first responders who have given their lives while on duty.

Consolidated Connects awarded total of $60,000 in grants to support school and district initiatives within the Consolidated Communications. NH grant recipients include Goffstown High School and Lincoln Street School in Exeter for robotics programming and Hampstead Central School for creation of blended learning environment.

All Brite Cleaning & Restoration in Gilford donated $5,000 through their annual All Brite Food Drive and fundraiser to benefit the Lakes Region programs of the Salvation Army.

NHTrust hired Loretta Gomes as a trust administrator. Gomes is based out of the NHTrust office in Concord. Prior to joining NHTrust, Gomes spent more than 20 years working in the nonprofit sector.

Kalwall Corporation in Manchester named Mark Lipman Salesperson of the Year for 2021. As sales rep for the New York City region, Lipman has been involved in numerous high-profile projects, including MTA Hicksville station, multiple MTA Bus Depots, the Northeast Bronx YMCA, and the first standalone Tesla Dealership in NYC.

Service Credit Union opened its newest location at 48 Portland Street, Rochester. The drive-thru only location has four lanes and a ATM. The new drive-thru location allows members to take care of all of their banking needs from their car.

Dartmouth’s Paul M. Dauten Jr. Professor of Biological Sciences, Elizabeth F. Smith, has been appointed to a second five-year term as dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Before becoming dean, Smith, a cell biologist, spent two years as associate dean of the sciences in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and before that was chair of the Department of Biological Sciences for three years.

The New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts (NHBCA) is accepting nominations for the 38th Annual Arts Awards. Individuals, businesses as well as an arts or cultural organization will be honored with the prestigious arts award. The Awards are sponsored by the NHBCA to publicly recognize and honor Granite State individuals and businesses of all shapes and sizes for their significant impact on New Hampshire's arts and cultural community.

Unitil Corporation in Hampton, a provider of natural gas and electricity completed a major redesign of its website to improve the browsing experience on a variety of screen-sizes and operating systems with accessibility for all in mind. Matter Communications assisted with the design and creation.

The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce welcomed Lendio New Hampshire Seacoast as a member of the chamber. Lendio specializes in small business loans. The Chamber also welcomed Strafford Farms Restaurant, which serves as the home to three family-owned restaurants: Strafford Farms Restaurant, The Loft, and The Back 40 Grille and Ice Cream.

The NH Art Association (NHAA) in Portsmouth created a partnership with The Art Center in Dover. Painter William Turner will be the first NHAA artist to exhibit in January and February 2022 at The Art Center. The Art Center includes 13 artists' studios, a rotating residency studio, workshop space, a stage and a large exhibition.
