In the Spotlight: Red River, a technology company in Claremont, was recognized as a 2020 Triple Crown Award winner. CRN Triple Crown Award winners are among the largest IT solution providers in North America from a revenue standpoint on the Solution Provider 500 list. Red River also ranked as one of the fastest-growing organizations in the channel with recognition on the Fast Growth 150 list, and they received the highest-level certifications from leading vendors on the Tech Elite 250 list.

Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. has 15 of the firm’s attorneys appearing on the Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists for 2020. Super Lawyers rates lawyers from more than 70 practice areas based on peer recognition and professional achievement. Steve Gordon, Cathy Green, Lucy Karl, Mike Noonan, and Peter Schroeter appeared on the Super Lawyers list in 2019 and are joined this year by Benjamin Siracusa Hillman, Bill Christie, Jim Rosenberg, Fran Murphy, Tracey Goyette Cote, and Tim Harrington. Gordon and Green have each appeared on the list for the 14th time, while Karl and Noonan have appeared 11 times. Concord Regional VNA named Siobhan Doherty-Rogers, RN, a home care director. She is responsible for the daily clinical business operations of home care services and provides supervision, mentorship, and guidance to staff.  Doherty-Rogers has more than 20 years of health care experience. Most recently, she was a clinical manager at HomeHealth Foundation in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

BAE Systems Merrimack unveiled a next-generation cyber-threat detection and mitigation solution for U.S. military platforms. The Fox Shield suite is designed to help platforms detect, respond, and recover from cyber-attacks in real time, and can be integrated into ground, air, and space vehicles to protect against cyber-attacks designed to access and degrade mission capabilities.

Jennifer Gullison, RN, MSN, VP of operations for Cornerstone VNA in Rochester, was awarded the 2020 Home Care Service Award from the Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care Alliance of NH at the annual meeting September 25.

NH Electric Co-op Foundation in Plymouth awarded 10 grants in September totaling $47,998 to non-profit organizations supporting NH residents. Grants were awarded to Appalachian Mountain Club, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA-NH), Kingswood Youth Center, NH Food Bank, Northeast Organic Farming Association of NH (NOFA), Plymouth Area Community Closet, Plymouth Parks & Recreation, Special Olympics NH, YMCA Camp Huckins and YMCA of Greater Boston.

Community Partners in Dover received $10,000 grant from the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation in support of their Preventive and Necessary Dental Fund; established to help pay for dental services for clients who do not have coverage. Community Partners’ is the designated community mental health center, developmental services provider and family support center in Strafford County.

Riverbend Community Mental Health is hosting a series of socially distant events to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month. Individuals, businesses, and organizations have the opportunity to take part in events shaped by the expressive arts and workshops focused on mental health in the workplace.

Dartmouth and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Lebanon will serve as one of the lead institutions for a new multi-center clinical trial of anti-VISTA, now open and recruiting for patient enrollment. The trial is a Phase I study of CI-8993, an anti-VISTA antibody, in adult patients with advanced solid tumors.

Upper Valley Business Alliance is hosting, “This Space Is Not Empty. It’s Full of Possibilities,” where prospective tenants can tour spaces that are available for new possibilities in downtown Hanover, on Thursday, October 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. The tour will include 7-8 commercial spaces available for immediate lease. Listing agents will be available as well as representatives from the Hanover Planning Department and a commercial lender will also speak on how to finance a new venture.

The Capital Region Food Program distributed nearly 2.8 tons of nonperishable food items to 17 social service agencies, food pantries and churches as part of the program’s Year-Round Distribution Project (YRDP) on Tuesday, October 13. Organizations receiving food as part of this month’s distribution included: Blueberry Express Day Care, Boscawen Congregational Church Food Pantry, Epsom Food Pantry, First Congregational Church Food Pantry, Friends of Forgotten Children, Gospel Light Food Pantry, Loudon Food Pantry, Merrimack Valley Day Care, Open Door Community Kitchen, Pittsfield Food Pantry, Salvation Army, St. Paul’s Church Food Pantry, Suncook Community Action Program (CAP), Warner Community Action Program (CAP) and West Congregational Church Food Pantry.

The NH Division of Economic Development’s Office of International Commerce is the 2020 grant recipient of a $225,427 award through the U.S. Small Business Administration’ State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), a $19-million program to support export growth among small businesses.
