Four Manchester/Nashua area hospitals have banded together to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and have launched the Front Lines NH Challenge Match. This initiative seeks to inspire and increase the impact of individual and corporate gifts made through https://frontlinesnh.org a dedicated web site. Often seen as corporate competitors in the healthcare field, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and Elliot Health System (members of SolutionHealth); Catholic Medical Center (a member of GraniteOne Health); and St. Joseph Hospital (a member of Covenant Health)—are utilizing funds to support the massive response efforts to care for patients and keep staff safe.

The Front Lines NH Challenge Match will match individual or corporate donations of up to $2,500, dollar-for-dollar. Lead sponsors of the Match are Primary Bank in Bedford and St. Mary’s Bank in Manchester, each donating $25,000. Other Match sponsors include Southern New Hampshire University; Service Credit Union; Northeast Delta Dental; and Anagnost Companies.

The regional accounting firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA was recently named as one of the “Top 100 Firms and Regional Leaders” of 2020 by Accounting Today. This marks the 3rd time that the firm has been recognized as one of the top firms in the New England region.

Grafton Regional Development Corporation in Plymouth is offering funding to help businesses develop new or update existing websites, which could help businesses force to operate in a limited or online-only fashion. The Website Assistance Loan Program offers qualified businesses interest-free payments on deferred loans of up to $2,000. Some businesses may be eligible for zero-cost website support services.

U.S. Cellular has donated $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester COVID-19 Relief Fund. The donation is part of a national $325,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs to support kids, families and communities. The national donation will be dispersed directly to more than 50 Clubs in U.S. Cellular’s service regions to support the most immediate needs of youth in those areas.

The Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire in Portsmouth launched a new collaboration with New Hampshire Public Radio to provide online programming and other resources for teachers and homebound students. The first program in this partnership will highlight New Hampshire’s Black history through the study of local graveyards. Additional curriculum materials will help teachers and students understand the historical significance in their own communities.

Merrimack County Savings Bank in Concord has pledged a contribution of $75,000 to the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness. The funds will be spread over three years, in support of CCEH’s Safe Spaces II Campaign, which supports the purchase the building in downtown Concord as well as the organization’s essential programs, including the Concord Homeless Resource Center, Emergency Winter Shelter and Housing First Concord, operating for another three years, while providing seed money for future projects.
