In the Spotlight: Meredith Village Savings Bank, Merrimack County Savings Bank, Savings Bank of Walpole and MillRiver Wealth Management recently honored employees in a celebration at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord, and were joined by the employees of NH Mutual Bancorp who provide support services to the affiliated local community financial institutions. In all, 60 of 475 employees were recognized for their commitment to the organization.

The NH Fiscal Policy Institute hired Michael Polizzotti as a policy analyst. As a recent graduate of the University of New Hampshire (UNH) – Paul College of Business and Economics in Durham, his past research projects include work surrounding food insecurity and nutrition, especially among low income individuals, and the effects of the Affordable Care Act on healthcare and labor choices of young adults.

The Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth recently named Bangor Savings Bank its 2019 Large Business of the Year during the chamber’s annual dinner. The bank opened a loan production office in Portsmouth two years ago, and began personal banking in the spring of 2018 when the company acquired the former Granite Bank location in the city.

J&L Chimney Works LLC has signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer to serve the Allenstown community and will offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, moving supplies and in-store pick-up for boxes.

Kayla Chandler has joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as branch relationship manager at the Andover location. Chandler has more than 18 years of customer service experience in supervisory positions.

Pentucket Bank named Nicole Molesso as assistant branch manager in the bank’s Salem location. She brings 10 years of industry experience, most recently at State Street Bank & Trust in Boston.

Community Volunteer Transportation Company (CVTC) appointed Margaret Gurney of Dublin to serve as part-time advancement assistant. Her responsibilities include building up the volunteer driver base in the 34 towns served by CVTC in the Monadnock Region, with a particular focus on those towns most in need of representation.

The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester has transitioned to solar energy. ReVision Energy of Brentwood installed 408 solar panels this summer on three rooftops at the Union Street Clubhouse in Manchester and the Pool House and Stebbins Family Hall buildings at Camp Foster in Bedford. Collectively, the arrays will produce close to 150,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year and will offset more than 152,000 pounds of carbon pollution each year, equivalent to the carbon sequestered by 81 acres of forests or the emissions from the consumption of 160 barrels of oil.
