In the Spotlight: Bar Harbor Bank & Trust hired Kelsey Woods (left) and Tina Brown. Woods is the branch relationship manager of the Bradford office. Woods started her banking career while in college, working as a seasonal teller for Rockland Trust and as a virtual teller for a bank in Mississippi during college. Brown is branch relationship manager of the Milford office. Brown worked at People’s United for 15 years.

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) was awarded the prestigious Builder Award, which is presented annually to individuals or groups that work to ensure the Halifax International Security Forum, continues to further its mission of advancing strategic cooperation among democracies.

Building on its fifth Wine & Chocolate Tasting, which netted more than $45,000 to support services for at-risk youth, Chase Home is looking to fill open seats on its board of directors. Founded in 1877, Chase Home serves more than 140 at-risk youth annually statewide through prevention, early intervention, residential and community-based programs. Some youth are served in the community, while others live at Chase Home.

Through a new partnership with Southern New Hampshire University, Swift Transportation, an Arizona-based trucking company, is expanding its employee education program, Drive for a Degree, where drivers and/or their eligible dependents will now be able to pursue a degree through the College for America program, with tuition fully covered by Swift.

Barefoot Medical Spain Stratham was recently opened by Dr. Julie Shaheen who has practiced podiatry on the Seacoast since 2010 and saw a need for a medical spa devoted to the feet and lower legs.

Kennebunk Savings hired Monica O’Hara of Stratham as assistant VP and branch manager for their Hampton branch. Ieva Watson of Epping was promoted to branch manager and will be working out of the Newmarket branch.

The city of Rochester was awarded a Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award from the International Economic Development Council for its website, which city officials say will serve as a warm welcome to businesses and a place to provide resources to foster investment, new development and redevelopment in Rochester.

At the October meeting of the Monadnock chapter of 100+ Women Who Care, the membership selected School Kids in Peterborough as the recipient of the meeting’s collective donation. Eleven non-profit organizations submitted applications to receive this quarter’s award, which is estimated to be over $12,000.
