In the Spotlight: The NHHEAF Network Organizations in Concord and business leaders presented 13 current college students from NH with $2,500 College Equals Opportunity (CEO) scholarships. The juniors and seniors demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities, a commitment to civic engagement, and academic excellence. Since its inception in 2004, the CEO program has awarded $400,000. Keynote remarks were delivered by President & CEO of Northeast Delta Dental, Tom Raffio.

EPTAM Plastics gave $1,000 to Lakes Region Community Developers to help build a playground at its Lochmere Meadows development in Tilton, which provides healthy housing for 47 working families.

The Coastal Land & Commercial Group, Government Services Division at Keller Williams Coastal Realty has named Sarah Hafner as executive assistant for the coastal land & commercial group, government services division. The local KW commercial team is part of the nationwide group of 1,975 commercial brokers that completed $1.92 billion in transactions in the first quarter of 2018.

Laurie Siergiewicz has joined Piscataqua Savings Bank trust and investment department as trust officer. The trust and investment team offer comprehensive services to individuals, families, and nonprofits seeking a long-term relationship to manage their assets. Siergiewicz holds certifications include registered investment advisor, registered principle, and NH life insurance producer.

Two Rochester city planners have earned certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners, Jim Campbell, director of planning and development; and Seth Creighton, chief planner; both passed the exam in May. The exam evaluates planners on their ability to analyze real world scenarios and theories, so they can demonstrate their ability to implement industry best practices.

The Center for Population Health at Cheshire Medical Center bestowed the Healthy Worksite Designation to about 30 community partners dedicated to advancing the mission of the Healthy Monadnock initiative. The designation is part of an innovative worksite wellness program that honors employers who take a broad view of wellbeing and actively participate in creating a healthier community.

The Meredith office of Peabody & Smith Realty hired Doug Canney as a sales associate. For more than 30 years, Canney owned his own business in the automotive field and for the past 12 years, also worked in real estate in Plaistow.

The Student Entrepreneur of the Year award, at Kennett High School Kennett High School in North Conway, was presented to the Key Club’s free thrift shop for students in need of clothing. Club members Riley Steward and Chloe Van Dyne led the establishment of the store an accepted the award.
