The NH SBA in Concord announced its 2013 lender awards: the top three lenders were Northway Bank in Berlin by largest number of total 7(a) loans, TD Bank of NJ by largest amount of money loaned in NH in the form of 7(a) loans, and Granite State Development Corporation in Portsmouth by both largest number of loans and largest amount of money loaned in the form of 504 loans.

Jewett Construction in Raymond completed two projects, construction of the Pinkerton Place retail and business complex in Derry and rennovation of a boat storage building at Kittery Trading Post in Maine.

Daniel Cohen, former VP at UBS in Manchester, formed an independent investment advisory firm called Cohen Investment Advisors in Bedford.

The Citizens Bank Foundation in Manchester partnered with the Main Street Initiative of Laconia (MSI) in Lacoina as part of its Growing Communities initiative. The partnership will include a $35,000 donation to MSI to begin a facade-improvement program in downtown Laconia.
