Citizens Bank Foundation in Manchester is granting $60,000 to seven organizations serving the homeless across NH to help individuals and families facing homelessness.

In Manchester, New Hampshire Housing recently presented CATCH Neighborhood Housing in Concord and Southern New Hampshire Services in Manchester with the 2012 Bringing You Home Award. The award recognizes exceptional and innovative contributions to affordable housing in the Granite State.

Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank, located in Newburyport, MA, will open its first location in NH in early April. The new office will be located in downtown Portsmouth.

New Hampshire Optical Systems, Inc., a Nashua-based telecommunications provider of fiber optic infrastructure solutions, announced its partnership with the Strategic Technology Office of Information Technology at the University of New Hampshire, located in Durham, in a project funded by New Hampshire Optical Systems and matched with a Granite State Technology Innovation Grant awarded by the New Hampshire Innovation Research Center

Five New England non-profit groups were selected to receive an EPA Environmental Justice Small Grant worth up to $25,000. The recipients include the Regional Environmental Council in Worcester, MA, Partners for a Healthier Community in Springfield, MA, JSI Research and Training Institute in Lawrence, MA, The Way Home, Inc. in Manchester, and Groundwork Lawrence in Lawrence, MA.

Manchester's Granite State Credit Union appointed four assistant vice presidents to its management team. The promotions include Tracey Healey to assistant vice president of branch operations, Jennilene Johnson to assistant vice president of mortgage and commercial lending, Lisa Egan to assistant vice president of consumer lending, and Lisa Reeder to assistant vice president of technology.
