The New Hampshire Lottery in Concord held a Set for Life Drawing at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway prior to the Sylvania 300, where five NH Lottery players took center stage to compete for a chance to win the top prize of $100,000 per year for life; the first place winner Amanda Tetelow of Lincoln won $500,000, Gerard J. Cook of Derry won $100,000, Michael Marinaro of Portland, ME won $75,000, Trudi Powell of Newport won $50,000, and Scott Minor of Gilford won $25,000.

An anonymous donor gave New London Hospital a $700,000 gift, the largest noncapital gift the hospital has received in its 94-year history.
