Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth partnered with the American Indepedence Museum in Exeter to launch a new summer beer, "American Independence Ale", served at the museum's historic Folsom Tavern as part of Redhook's Backyard Brewery Series. Folsum Tavern was a popular spot for revolutionaries to gather during the American Revolution, when Exeter was NH's capital.The brewery researched colonial-era recipes and relied on many NH-grown ingredients for the beer, which is available in NH, Mass., and Vt. Redhook began as an independent brewing company in Seattle, Wash. in the 1980s and opened a brewing facility and pub restaurant in Portsmouth in 1996. Redhook Brewery also recently became a member of the Green Alliance.

Peter W. Leberman joined Northeast Delta Dental in Concord as a general counsel. He fills the position created by the retirement of Kenneth Robinson, who served the company for 12 years. Leberman previously served as an attorney with Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, PA in Concord.

Deanna Caron, associate broker with Stebbins Commercial Properties, Inc. in Manchester fully leased the retail strip mall at 581 Second St. in Manchester. The final two tenants to occupy the mall are CellMart, a cellular phone accessory store, taking 1600 square feet for two years and Book Cellars, LLC, a bookstore for college students, also taking 1600 square feet for two years. Caron represented the seller, Garde Realty, LLC of Concord, in both transactions.

Tanger Outlets in Tilton awarded TangerKids Grants to Lakeland School in Meredith and Holy Trinity School in Laconia. Lakeland School will use its grants to upgrade its technology programs and education. Holy Trinity School will use its grant to build a playground. Tanger Outlets introduced the TangerKIDS Grants program in 2012 to support its charitable mission of helping to find a cure for breast cancer and protecting the future for children. The program awards grants to schools in the communities where Tanger Outlet Centers are located.

SymQuest Group in Keene acquired the business operations of Downeast Networks, Inc. in Maine. The acquisition enables SymQuest to expand their network and document service solutions throughout Maine. SymQuest has offices in Vt., NY, and NH.

The Golf Club of New England in Stratham partnered with the NH Golf Foundation as the club prepares to host the 2012 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship from July 16-21. The foundation will provide supprt for the event and will receive a portion of the event's proceeds, which will go towards promoting the sport among NH's youth. The event will be the first United States Golf Association championship held in the state.

The MacDowell Colony in Peterborough named photographer Nan Goldin its 2012 Edward MacDowell Medalist. The MacDowell Medal has been awarded annually since 1960 and honors an individual artist who has made an outstanding contribution to his or her field. Goldin was specifically honored for her novel autobiographical use of photography, her use of the slideshow as a medium, and for her redefining depictions of women and gay and transgender people.

Alexandra T. Breed, an attorney with the law firm of McLane, Grauf, Raulerson & Middleton in Manchester, was elected a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. At McLane, Breed foceses her practices in the areas of wealth preservation, family financial management, and estate planning.

NH Catholic Charities announced five new members to its board of trustees: Edward Dudley, senior VP and CFO for Catholic Medical Center in Manchester; Sister Paula Marie Buley, president of Rivier College in Nashua; Scott Colby, executive VP of the NH Medical Society; Todd Fahey, director with the law firm of Orr & Reno, PA in Concord; and Jeremy Hitchcock, CEO of Dyn in Manchester.

Segway, Inc. in Bedford partnered with the Smithsonian Institution to launch "Smithsonian Tours By Segway" in Washington, DC. During the tour, which departs from the National Museum of American History, riders will explore Smithsonian museums and gardens and visit historical monuments.

Simon Property Group, Inc., headquartered in Indianapolis, named Brian Jenkins as regional VP for the the New England region. Jenkins will work with the company on the development and management of Simon properties in NH, Mass., and Conn. Jenkins most recently served as executive VP of development for Rouse Properties, a mall owner based in New York.

St. Mary's Bank in Manchester took the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce's Green Pledge and earned a Green Business designation for its committment to environmentally sustainable business practices. A specifically recognzied aspect of the bank's green efforts was its newly renovated branch office and education center in Manchester, which includes "smart" systems to conserve energy and water, automatic lighting, and special sites for recycling. To take the Green Pledge, businesses must fill out a questionnaire and undergo a review of business practices by the chamber's Green Committee.

Citizens Bank and WMUR-TV in Manchester named Donna Coraluzzo the Heart of the City for her outstanding committemnt to the city of Dover. Heart of Your City is a year-long partnership that recognizes people who go above and beyond to make a difference in NH's thirteen cities. Each honoree is featured on NH Chronicle and the Destination Downtown section of WMUR-TV's website.

Andrew Noyes, VP of sales at Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln, received the 2012 Award for Business Excellence, presented by the NH Travel Council. Noyes began working at Loon Mountain in 1984. The council presents awards to leading travel professionals each year at the Governor's Conference on Tourism, held this year at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. Alex Ray, owner of the Common Man Family of Restaurants; Michelle Cota, marketing manager for the NH Division of Travel and Tourism; Trish Taylor from the Courtyard by Marriott and Grappone Conference Center; and Craig Clemmer from the Omni Mount Washington Resort also received awards.

Trumbull-Nelson Construction Company, Inc. in Hanover appointed Paul Stokarski as human resource manager. Stokarski previously served as regional supervisor of human resources for Stantec in Auburn.
