After close to four decades serving NH homeowners, businesses and public water systems, Manchester-based Secondwind Water Systems is expanding to the Seacoast with a new Hampton Falls location, a move company leaders say reflects both rapid growth and rising demand for water treatment solutions.

The company, founded in 1989, has opened a second office at 97 Lafayette Road in Hampton Falls to better serve customers across the Seacoast, Northern Massachusetts and Southern Maine.

“We’ve built a strong customer base throughout the Seacoast over the years, and opening a location in Hampton Falls felt like a natural next step for us,” says President and CEO Greg Chambers, who joined the company in early 2025. “This expansion allows us to better support our customers while continuing to invest in the level of service and expertise people have come to expect from Secondwind.”

Secondwind has experienced roughly 20% growth over the past five years, a pace Chambers says is significantly faster than the company’s first three decades in business. Today, the company employs 48 people, including installation technicians, water quality specialists and sales professionals, and serves approximately 10,000 customers.

Secondwind’s services address hard water, iron, manganese, staining, taste and odor issues, along with emerging contaminants such as PFAS, arsenic and radon. Secondwind also offers water testing, system installation and ongoing maintenance, and is NH’s only authorized independent Kinetico dealer.

Chambers says several factors are driving demand, including aging treatment equipment, new home construction and growing public awareness of contaminants in drinking water. “People are much more aware of what’s in their water than they were years ago,” he says. “Whether it’s because of PFAS, changing regulations or simply wanting better-tasting water, we’re seeing increased interest from homeowners and businesses alike.”

Even as it grows, Chambers says maintaining its customer-focused approach and culture remains a priority. While it is currently owned by founder Christine Fletcher, Secondwind is gradually transitioning toward an employee ownership model. “Our goal is to grow without losing who we are,” Chambers says. “We want to remain the trusted local company people rely on for honest guidance and customized solutions.” For more information, visit secondwindwater.com.
