Nonprofits Invited to Participate in Statewide Day of Giving

Nonprofits from every corner of New Hampshire will be drawing attention to the importance of their missions and accepting donations during a 24-hour online giving event on June 11 and 12. NH Gives – an initiative of the NH Center for Nonprofits – is designed to bring the state together as one community, raising as much money and awareness as possible for NH’s nonprofits. In 2018 more than 250 organizations raised more than $400,000 dollars during NH Gives.

Any 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit serving NH communities can participate in the day. Eligible organizations must register on www.NHGives.org prior to June 1st. More than 220 nonprofits have already created profiles on the site

“NH Gives is about bringing people together to learn about, celebrate and support the charitable organizations that make our state so special,” says Kathleen Reardon, CEO of the NH Center for Nonprofits. “We are encouraging all members of the community – nonprofits, their board members, volunteers, as well as business partners – to learn more about how they can become involved in the day.”

The NH Center for Nonprofits is leading efforts behind NH Gives with support from lead sponsor the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Additional sponsors include C&S Wholesale Grocers, Comcast NBC Universal, People’s United Bank and St. Mary’s Bank as well as media sponsors WMUR, and the Union Leader.

Donors will be encouraged to visit www.NHGives.org for 24 hours starting at 6 p.m. on June 11, to donate to their favorite nonprofit organization, to discover other organizations doing good work, and to show their support through social media. Incentive prizes will be awarded throughout the 24-hour period to add to the excitement.
