NHHEAF Awards $175K in Scholarships

The New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF) Network awarded $175,000 in scholarships to 35 NH residents who will be juniors and seniors in college for the upcoming academic year.

The nonprofit organization, which has helped Granite State students and families plan and pay for college since 1962, began accepting applications for the NHHEAF Scholarship program in March, initially aiming to award 15 students each a $5,000 scholarship for a total of $75,000 in aid.

“We received a record number of applications for our scholarship program this year, and because of the individual character demonstrated – as well as the need – we were thrilled to be able to more than double the number of scholarships awarded,  providing 35 students each with $5,000 in funding for the coming school year,” said Christiana Thornton, president and CEO of the NHHEAF Network.
