The Granite Restaurant & Bar in Concord announced the arrival of Corey Fletcher as its new executive chef. Fletcher most recently worked at the Colby Hill Inn in Henniker and was chef at 55 Degrees in Concord.
"I'm very excited to be back in Concord and looking forward to re-connecting with many friends from my recent past. I'm particularly excited at the opportunity to build from Granite's significant accomplishments and hope to contribute to what has been its passionate focus on producing wonderful culinary interpretations of the unique bounty New England offers," Fletcher said.
A New Hampshire native, Fletcher has followed his passion for cooking throughout New England, initially from summers at the Cliff House in Ogunquit, Maine to stints at Baldwin's On Elm in Manchester and eventually to saut responsibility at Nantucket's Topper's at The Wauwinet. His cuisine favors simplicity that permits two or three flavors to heighten but not mask the core item in every dish.
Fletcher attended Southern New Hampshire University where he graduated cum laude in May 2003.
Granite Restaurant & Bar is located within Concord's Centennial Hotel.
