Maybe the Old Man Really is Dead

According to the NH Travel Council, making the Old Man the Centerpiece of NH tourism may be a thing of the past. The NH House Resources, Recreation & Development Committee voted 17-0 to recommend killing HB 1231, which would have established a commission to study methods of replacing the Old Man of the Mountain as part of the overall state tourism plan. The full House will vote on the bill this Wednesday, March 3.
