Littleton Chamber Cuts Executive Director

The Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce has eliminated the executive director position for financial reasons, related to the pandemic.

Nathan Karol, who joined the chamber as a board member in 2017 and became executive director in 2018, wrote in an email that he was told on July 6 that his position was being eliminated and that July 10 would be his last day.

“It is my hope that the members of the board in Littleton will be able to find a solution and a revised business model, including funding sources and direct aid, to help with collaborations and be a continued resource for businesses in the Littleton area,” wrote Karol. “Our Chamber was looking forward to a banner year, as many organizations were before COVID-19 became our new normal.

He added that the Chamber had struggled financially in the past for a number of reasons. “Unfortunately, all of my efforts of the last two-plus years to revise, reconnect and reinvigorate the Chamber were not a match for the economic effects of COVID-19.”

He listed the chamber contacts going forward as the board of directors at BOD@littletonareachamber.com and Meggen Wright, part-time administrative assistant at info@littletonareachamber.com or 603-444-6561 x 11.
