Corvette Club Raises Funds for NH Food Bank

Great Bay Corvette Club (GBCC) raised $12,350 to support the New Hampshire Food Bank during its fourth annual “Driven to Make a Difference” Charity All Car Show on September 16, 2017. Great Bay Corvette Club (GBCC) raised $12,500 to support the NH Food Bank (NHFB) during its fourth annual “Driven to Make a Difference” Charity All Car Show. The money raised during the event equates to 24, 700 meals, which supports the approximately 10 percent of NH residents, who don’t know where their next meal will come from.

GBBC previously raised over $13,000 to support the NHFB during the “Driven to Make a Difference” care show, two years ago, and the GBBC’s founder and president, Steven Prefontaine, says he’s honored to be able to back the Food Bank.

“Great Bay Corvette Club was started in order to give back to those in need and we are proud to be able to support the New Hampshire Food Bank,” says Prefontaine. “We had such a positive response in supporting the Food Bank during our second annual car show that we wanted to partner with the New Hampshire Food Bank once again to help fight hunger in communities throughout New Hampshire.”

The NH Food Bank’s executive director, Eileen Groll Liponis, says that the organization can’t be grateful enough for the GBBC’s kindness, and that community partners like the corvette club are pivotal to the organization fulfilling its mission. “We cannot thank Great Bay Corvette Club and its members enough for their partnership, generosity and support,” says Groll Liponis.

“Community partners like GBCC are such an integral part of our organization. As the Food Bank receives no federal or state funding for our food distribution program, donations like these go a long way in helping to feed the one in ten Granite Staters who are food insecure.”
