The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce celebrated outstanding businesses and leaders at its 17th Annual Pinnacle Awards Luncheon. Nearly 200 attendees from the Capital Area business community gathered at The Barn at Bull Meadow on May 18 to recognize this year’s Pinnacle Award recipients.
The Hotel Concord, 2022 Small Business of the Year, was recognized for its stellar service and community impact. Owners Michael and Jamie Simchik spoke about the importance of small businesses and attested to Concord’s welcoming atmosphere.
Bangor Savings Bank, 2022 Business of the Year, was celebrated for its impressive volunteer efforts and generosity to local nonprofits. Trisha Duchesneau, Director of Consumer Banking, and Rebecca Britenriker, Concord Branch Manager, graciously accepted their award and emphasized the bank’s dedication to serving their customers, employees and communities.
The Friendly Kitchen, 2022 Nonprofit Business of the Year, was represented by Executive Director, Valerie Guy, and Board President, Sue Buxton. They thanked the dedication of over 700 volunteers who work tirelessly to serve individuals and families in Concord who experience food insecurity.
Jonathan Halle, 2022 Business Leader of the Year, thanked the skilled team at Warrenstreet Architects, Inc. for their enthusiasm for serving the community, and their support of his pro bono work for local nonprofits.
The event also recognized the Concord Young Professional of the Year, Erin Schaick of CATCH Neighborhood Housing, and the W. Grant McIntosh Volunteer of the Year, Megan MacMullin.
