Concord came in 4th on a list of the best state capitals to live in on a list compiled by smartasset. The other New England capital on the list, Montpelier, Vermont, came in first. The cities were ranked based on data on crime, unemployment, amenities and the cost of living.
Concord had 42,620 people in 2015 and an unemployment rate of 2.6 percent in July, according to the NH Employment Security and the U.S. Census.
