Applications Being Accepted for Disability Employment Practices Award

Applications are being accepted for the 2014 Employment Leadership Award, which is presented annually to NH employers who have adopted inclusive policies and hiring practices that allow people with disabilities to fairly compete for employment.   

Employment providers and businesses throughout the state submit nominees. Nominations are evaluated based on the company’s efforts to: create opportunities that assist people with disabilities to develop the skills they need to obtain competitive employment; adopt inclusive hiring practices that allow people with disabilities to fairly compete for employment; and engage community partners to become a more diverse workplace.

The 2014 Employment Leadership Award winners will be featured in a special section appearing in the September 2014 issue of Business NH Magazine and formally recognized at the Sixth Annual Statewide Employer Recognition Ceremony to be held on Oct. 16 at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester.

The application can be downloaded at http://education.nh.gov/career/vocational/documents/ELA_2014_Nomination.doc. Applications are due June 30, 2014 and will only be accepted by email at Jim.Hinson@doe.nh.gov. Nominations must be submitted as a Word document via email. Applications in PDF format will not be accepted.
