Each year, Business NH Magazine features 10 private companies that are fast-growing but do not have the revenue to make the list of NH’s Top 100 Private Companies. To make the list, companies had to demonstrate high sales-growth rates between 2015 and 2017 and generate more than $1 million in revenue annually. Below is a profile of one of these companies:

The fall has always been Joe Centrella’s favorite time of year. So much so that he decided to name his IT staffing company The Autumn Group in 2009.
Centrella will be the first one to admit that his timing for launching the firm wasn’t exactly the best because the country was reeling from the financial meltdown of 2008. “Unemployment was at 15 percent,” he says. But Centrella also knew that companies large and small still needed capable IT professionals to help them navigate their most important projects.
The Autumn Group supplies IT professionals to both local and national customers to address such needs as infrastructure lifecycle management, security, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and quality/validation opportunities.
Within a few years, Centrella says his Windham-based company experienced strong, steady growth by serving Fortune 50 to Fortune 5000 companies throughout the Greater Boston area and the Charlotte, N.C., region where he opened a satellite office.
During the past three years, Centrella says the company has posted more than 40 percent average annual revenue growth and it is on pace to reach sales of $11.2 million in 2018, a 45 percent increase. Centrella says the company plans to hire another three to seven people in the new year. His goal is to exceed 50 percent growth in 2019. “I believe 2019 might be our best year yet.”
He says the biggest key to his success is finding the best people for his team. “Making sure we have the right people here to generate results is the most important. This will dictate whether you win or you lose,” he says.
Unlike some staffing companies that “just want to put a body in a seat,” Centrella says The Autumn Group ensures that clients have the best capable person who will help them achieve long-term success.
