When TFMoran talks about the value of employee input, they mean it. Over the company’s 56 years in business, there have been countless examples of employee input leading to action. Recently, this led to purchasing aerial drones for mapping, a Matterport 3D scanner for structural building measurements, and the recent lease of an HP Pagewide printer for the engineering department. Even TFMoran’s referral program for new hires was started at an employee’s suggestion.
Anniversaries are recognized and acknowledged at the company’s annual harvest luncheon that takes place in the fall and is typically held at the Bedford Village Inn. The company also has a generous semi-annual bonus program and provides additional monetary bonuses twice a year in the spring and just before Thanksgiving.
TFMoran’s flextime policy recognizes that employees may need to work their own schedules for personal reasons. Depending on workload, some employees work a 30-to-32-hour week instead of 40 hours, and start times vary. Employees may also work remotely with laptops provided by the company. Unused vacation time is paid as a bonus to employees.
Employees receive 16 hours of paid time off for volunteer and community service work. TFMoran also offers two weeks of paid paternity leave and 10 weeks of paid maternity leave.
The company also holds an annual outing at the Manchester Fisher Cats stadium where it rents a suite for employees and their families and holds a summer employee cookout with a visit from the Kona Ice Truck. TFMoran also pays for continuing education credits and license renewal fees for all of its staff and also covers renewal fees for professional licenses and/or certifications.
