Feature Stories
Businesses may contact the editorial department to suggest story ideas or offer themselves as resources for features on our editorial calendar. Please keep in mind that the editorial department works on issues three months prior to publication.
Regular Departments
Business NH Magazine has several monthly editorial departments that offer additional opportunities for coverage. Suggestions for companies and people to profile in many of these sections may be submitted by completing an Editorial Survey Form and faxing it back to the editorial department.
In News
This section features significant personnel news and information about major business deals, large corporate donations and business honors or awards. Please submit press releases two months in advance of possible publication. Any photos should include names of all people pictured, as well as their titles and company affiliations. Photos may be sent by mail or e-mail to edit@businessnhmagazine.com. Electronic photos must be sent as either .jpg or .tif files and must be at least 300 dpi resolution.
Making it in NH
Each month, Business NH Magazine spotlights two NH companies or two NH executives that are "on their way up."
- Company Profiles are featured in the February, April, June, September and November issues. Featured companies must provide five to 10 high-resolution (at least 300 dpi) photographs. Photos can showcase products, employees working or providing services, company facilities and top executives. Electronic photos must be sent as either .jpg or .tif files.
- Executives are profiled in the January, March, May, August, October and December issues. Featured executives must provide a portrait picture - preferably an environmental shot that shows them in their offices or facilities, or using a product that their company makes.
- Headshots may not be submitted for Making It in NH. Electronic photos must be sent as either .jpg or .tif files.
NH Advisor
Each month, Business NH Magazine asks a businessperson to write a 500-word column offering expert advice that our business readers can use. Examples are posted in the Advisor Archive section of this web site. Columns are accompanied by a headshot of the author; a brief biography, including the person's name, title and company name and location; one-sentence description of what the company does and the author's phone number and e-mail address or company website.
NH Briefs
This section includes short stories about innovative and unique programs, services and products offered by NH companies, or business trends. There are semi-regular features that run within NH Briefs, including: Let's Lunch, which profiles restaurants throughout the state that offer excellent amenities for a business lunch; and Private Passions, which profiles the hobbies and activities executives enjoy outside the office.
Letters to the Editor
Comments on articles that appear in Business NH Magazine are welcome. Letters must include the name of the author, his or her job title, the name of his/her company and where the company is located. Send all letters to Editor, c/o Business NH Magazine, 670 N. Commercial St., Suite 110, Manchester, NH 03101 or e-mail edit@businessnhmagazine.com. All letters are verified and must include the author's address and telephone number. We reserve the right to edit all submissions.
Listings
Business NH Magazine publishes a number of guides for our readers to identify companies and resources that can help their businesses. The Surveys section of this web site provides details about the guides and a downloadable survey form for you to complete and send to the editorial department to include your company in appropriate listings.
